Chris Hampson is a London-based multi-instrumentalist, musical director, and bandleader with extensive experience across theatre, touring productions, tribute shows, and studio sessions. Over the course of his career, he has demonstrated a rare versatility, performing on bass guitar, fretless bass, double bass, keyboards, piano, acoustic and electric guitar, and a range of other instruments.

This year, Chris has divided his time between musical direction for The Lainey Wilson Experience, a UK-based tribute to the country star, and playing bass and keyboards with the acclaimed tribute band Guns 2 Roses, performing to audiences across the UK and Europe. Previous highlights include performing bass and fretless bass with The Spirit of Talk Talk, including their celebration of Talk Talk and Mark Hollis at the Royal Festival Hall, acting as musical director and supervisor for Starburst Productions' Cinderella, and contributing to tours and studio sessions with artists including Fran Lusty, Kingsley Beat, and John O'Brien.

Chris is known for his meticulous attention to musical detail, adaptability, and collaborative approach, whether leading a band from the pit, performing live on stage, or arranging and directing complex musical scores.
